Ms. Poh Lynn Ng joined AMRO in 2024. She currently serves as the desk economist for Brunei Darussalam and backup economist for Myanmar. She previously covered Lao PDR as the desk economist.
Prior to joining AMRO, Ms. Ng was an Economic Affairs Officer at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs in New York. During her tenure, she conducted macroeconomic surveillance and policy analysis for Asia-Pacific economies, and worked on issues related to financing for sustainable development and reform of the international financial architecture.
She also previously served as Senior Economist at Bank Negara Malaysia, where she led analysis of global macroeconomic and financial developments and their implications for Malaysia’s economy.
Ms. Ng holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
