Mr. Thai Yangsingkham joined AMRO as an Associate in September 2023. He is a member of the Lao PDR surveillance team with specialization in the financial sector. He also contributes to banking sector research on Indonesia.
Before joining AMRO, Mr. Thai worked at the Monetary Policy Department of the Bank of Lao PDR where he was responsible for monitoring and analyzing trends in the country’s balance of payments. He also contributed to various strategic initiatives, particularly those related to the external sector and foreign direct investment.
Mr. Thai holds an MA in Economics from the International University of Japan and a BA in Banking from the Banking Institution of Laos.
