Banks continue to play a dominant role in the financial sectors of ASEAN+3 economies, and banking supervisors are building capacity to meet the challenges as the banking sectors in ASEAN+3 economies become deeper and more integrated. 

This study is the outcome of an AMRO survey of ASEAN+3 economies and banking supervisors on their supervisory priorities, risk assessment process and supervisory capacity.  It aims to provide a qualitative understanding of ASEAN+3 banking supervisory priorities and practices to complement analysis based on traditional quantitative indicators such as capital adequacy ratios.
