Mr. Wookeun (Ken) Yoon joined AMRO in 2026 and serves as a Financial Specialist in the Financial Surveillance Group. He conducts financial stability surveillance and research on capital market infrastructure and cryptoasset issues, with country work focused on Indonesia’s capital market and FX-related topics.
Prior to joining AMRO, he served as a Director and Deputy Director for more than 15 years at the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Korea. His work covered financial policy, capital markets, cryptoassets, corporate restructuring, anti-money laundering, and international financial cooperation.
At the FSC, Mr. Yoon contributed to major policy initiatives, including the Corporate Value-Up Program, the KRW50 trillion COVID-19 Economic Relief Program, the restructuring of DSME (now known as Hanwha Ocean), money market fund reform, Korea’s transition to a risk-free reference rate, and cryptoasset legislation. He also served as Advisor to the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar and previously worked at Bain & Company.
Mr. Yoon holds a Master of International Development Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Yonsei University.
