Mr. Jongrim Ha joined AMRO in April 2026 and is a Senior Economist in the Macro-Financial Research Group.
Prior to joining AMRO, Mr. Ha spent a decade at the World Bank, where he served as Head of Macro Analytics and Senior Economist in the Prospects Group. He contributed to the World Bank’s flagship Global Economic Prospects report and led various analytical projects. He has presented his research at international forums including the NBER, CEPR, the Brookings Institution, the ECB Sintra Forum on Central Banking, and the IMF Jacques Polak Research Conference. He is also co-editor of a book on global inflation and has published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Political Economy: Macroeconomics, NBER Macroeconomics Annual, IMF Economic Review, and many other top-field journals.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Ha worked at the Bank of Korea in the Research Department and the Governor’s Secretariat.
His research interests include open-economy macroeconomics and time-series econometrics.
Mr. Ha holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Seoul National University.
