Mr. Chiang Yong (Edmond) Choo joined ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) in August 2014. As a member of the regional surveillance team, Mr. Choo contributes to the publication of AMRO’s flagship report, the ASEAN+3 Regional Economic Outlook. Besides regional work, he has also been involved in country surveillance for Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

Prior to joining AMRO, Mr. Choo worked in the Singapore Economic Development Board where he produced manufacturing statistics and analyzed macroeconomic developments. He also worked for the Republic of Singapore Navy, and Procter and Gamble earlier in his career.

Mr. Choo holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Singapore Management University and a Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Economics and Management from the University of London.
