AMRO-CEP-SEACEN High-Level Roundtables

AMRO, the Council on Economic Policies (CEP), and the South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Research and Training Centre jointly convened for roundtables in Japan, Korea and Singapore for policymakers and thought leaders in financial governance. The discussion provided a platform to exchange views on emerging challenges and explore ways to adapt financial governance over the next five years.

Insights from the discussions will shape country policy briefs with recommendations for policymakers in Japan, Korea, and the ASEAN region.

Participants discussed issues affecting economic growth and welfare such as cost-of-living pressures and extreme weather, and how to navigate long-term structural shifts, including digitalization, population aging, green transition, and rapid technological change. Financial authorities will play a critical role in strengthening resilience and supporting sustainable growth amid these transformations.
