Ms. Yiwei Wang joined the AMRO in 2025 and is an Associate Economist in the Fiscal Surveillance Group. She contributes to regional fiscal surveillance, policy analysis, and research, including the ASEAN+3 Quarterly Fiscal Bulletin (QFB) and the ASEAN+3 Fiscal Policy Report (AFPR).
Prior to joining AMRO, Ms. Wang worked at the Fujian Provincial Department of Finance in China, where she was involved in the oversight of state-owned financial institutions. During her secondment to the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China, she supported ASEAN+3 financial cooperation and contributed to the APEC Finance Ministers’ Process.
Her research interests include fiscal policy transmission, fiscal sustainability, and intergovernmental fiscal relations.
Ms. Wang holds a Master’s in Investment Management from Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London, a Master’s in Development Administration and Planning from University College London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.
