LUXEMBOURG, July 6, 2017 – Today, Dr Junhong Chang, Director of the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), meets with Mr. Klaus Regling, Managing Director of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), to discuss the cooperation between the two organizations.

Both sides underscore the important roles of Regional Financial Arrangements (RFAs) in maintaining the regional economic and financial stability, and would like to further enhance exchange of knowledge and experiences in macroeconomic surveillance and crisis management. They also discuss the issue of the cooperation between RFAs and other layers of the Global Financial Safety Net (GFSN) to enhance the synergy of the GFSN.
