Mr. Yuventus Effendi is an Economist in the Macro-Financial Research Group at AMRO. He joined AMRO in November 2025, with a focus on climate change risks in the ASEAN+3 region.
Prior to joining AMRO, Mr. Effendi worked for over a decade at Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance, with experience spanning from the Directorate General of Taxes to the Fiscal Policy Agency and Directorate General of Financial Sector Stability and Development. He served in various capacities, including researcher and knowledge manager, and contributed to fiscal policy analysis and macroeconomic research.
His research interests center on renewable energy, climate policy, and their macroeconomic and financial implications. His work has been published in journals such as Regional Science Policy & Practice, Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies, and Asia-Pacific Journal of Regional Science, covering topics including energy transition, decarbonization, and regional economic dynamics in ASEAN and East Asia.
Mr. Effendi holds a Ph.D in Economic Policy and a Master of International and Development Economics from the Australian National University. He also holds a Master of Applied Economics from the University of Indonesia.
