ASEAN+3 Regional Economic Outlook 2024 Roadshows: Hong Kong, China

The ASEAN+3 Regional Economic Outlook (AREO) 2024 thematic chapter, Navigating Tomorrow, reassess the economic scarring inflicted by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as examines 3 key long-term trends shaping the economic landscape of the region going forward, in particular (1) rapid aging; (2) the ongoing global trade reconfiguration, and (3) rapid technological change.

As part of the AREO’s outreach campaign, the roadshows are envisioned as a platform for policymakers, economists, and experts to weigh in on the findings of AMRO’s flagship reports: to exchange views on pressing economic and financial developments across ASEAN+3, to discuss the challenges that lie ahead, and to share perspectives on the key policy priorities and areas for regional cooperation that will ensure resilient and sustainable long-term growth in ASEAN+3.

The Hong Kong seminar is jointly organized by AMRO, the Hong Kong Academy of Finance and the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary and Financial Research (HKIMR).
