10th Joint Regional Financing Arrangements (RFAs) Research Seminar

A New Era of Financial Digitalization in a Geo-Fragmented World

The 10th Regional Financing Arrangements (RFAs) Joint Research Seminar will convene on September 14-15, 2026 in Singapore, with the option for virtual participation via Zoom. The event will bring together leading academics, policymakers, and subject matter experts to discuss the implications of digitalization for global finance, monetary policy and crisis management in an increasingly geo-fragmented world.

Key sessions include:

  • Digital transformation of money and payments: stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and new cross-border payment systems
  • Public money in the digital age: central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), monetary policy and the future monetary system
  • Financial stability in a digital monetary system: runs, disintermediation, and backstops?

A high-level roundtable will also be held, focusing on how digital financial innovation can support economic growth, trade integration, and financial inclusion, as well as identifying the risks, opportunities and policy priorities.

Held annually since 2017, the seminar is co-organized by AMRO together with the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), and the Latin American Reserve Fund (FLAR).

Participation, both in-person and online, is by invitation. If you are interested in participating, please email us at 10thJointRFASeminar@amro-asia.org.
