SINGAPORE, November 19, 2017 – AMRO Advisory Panel (AP) members convened today to review and discuss AMRO’s surveillance work ahead of the ASEAN+3 Finance and Central Bank Deputies Meeting in Hokkaido, Japan in December.
AMRO Advisory Panel members reviewed AMRO’s surveillance work on macroeconomic developments, risks and challenges in the ASEAN+3 region. They also discussed AMRO’s assessments of risks, vulnerabilities and policies in member economies prepared on the basis of its country consultation visits. AMRO also received useful feedback on the development of its Macro-Financial Surveillance Framework, which aims to enhance AMRO’s surveillance capacity.
Chaired by Dr Akira Ariyoshi (AP Chair), the meeting was participated by Dr Bandid Nijathaworn, Dr Maria Socorro Gochoco-Bautista, Professor Kyung-Wook Hur, Dr Mohamad Ikhsan, and Dr Feng Lu. AMRO Director Dr Junhong Chang, Chief Economist Dr Hoe Ee Khor, Deputy Director (Administration) Mr Byungseo Yoo, and Deputy Director (CMIM, Strategy and Coordination) Mr Yasuto Watanabe also attended the meeting.
