AMRO Publishes Its Flagship Report in Three Local Languages

The ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) just released its flagship report, the ASEAN+3 Regional Economic Outlook (AREO) 2018, in three local languages: Chinese, Lao, and Myanmar. This is part of AMRO’s commitment and efforts to make its publications more relevant and accessible to a larger group of audience in member economies.

AMRO Participates in the 21st ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting in Manila, Philippines

An AMRO delegation, led by Director Dr Junhong Chang, participated in the 21st ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting (AFMGM+3) on 4 May, and the ASEAN+3 Finance and Central Bank Deputies’ Meeting (AFCDM+3), on 3 May, during the 51st ADB Annual Meeting in Manila, Philippines.

AMRO Executive Committee Discussed AMRO’s Policy Issues and 2018 Organizational Plan

The Executive Committee, the highest decision making body of AMRO composed of Finance and Central Bank Deputies from ASEAN+3 member authorities, convened a meeting on December 11 and 12 in Asahikawa, Japan. AMRO Director Dr. Junhong Chang, joined by Chief Economist Dr. Hoe Ee Khor, Deputy Directors Mr. Byungseo Yoo and Mr. Yasuto Watanabe, attended the meeting and presented AMRO’s policy and organizational issues. After a fruitful discussion, the EC approved AMRO’s Organizational Plan for 2018 and several important policy papers to enhance AMRO’s operational effectiveness.
