Mr. Justin Lim joined AMRO in February 2018 and is currently the country economist for Singapore. He also supports surveillance activities of Thailand and Malaysia, and previously China and Hong Kong, China.

Before joining AMRO, Mr. Lim served in the Economics Department in the Bank Negara Malaysia, where he specialized in research on technology and labor, and trade and exchange rate issues. He was also an economic analyst at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia, where he worked on housing issues and contributed to assessing the benefits and costs of Malaysia’s participation in the The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

Mr. Lim earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Edinburgh, and an Honours Degree in Actuarial Science from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland.
