Mr. Jiangyan Yu is Deputy Group Head of the Policy and Review Group at ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO). He joined AMRO in 2022 and his work involves policy reviews of AMRO’s surveillance reports and studies on the development of the RFA.

Prior to joining AMRO, Mr. Yu was a Senior Economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He has extensive experience on the IMF’s program design, conditionality and surveillance. In his career, he also acted as Deputy Director in the People’s Bank of China.

Mr. Yu holds postgraduate degrees in economics and finance from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies and the George Washington University, respectively.
