The ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) is seeking an experienced and dynamic ICT Specialist (Applications) to join the Budget, HR and Support Services (BHRS) Group.

The successful candidate will report to the Group Head of BHRS. S/he will support the Senior ICT Officer to manage and optimize applications and systems, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and the delivery of an exceptional user experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Applications Management: Oversee the operation and management of applications, ensuring they meet business needs and user expectations.
  • Cloud-Based Deployment: Deploy and manage cloud-based applications, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Service Management: Ensure application-related SLAs are consistently met and coordinate application updates and testing to maintain service reliability.
  • Data Integration and Analytics: Support data integration and analytics initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • User Support: Address Tier 2 and Tier 3 application-related escalations, providing timely resolutions to complex issues.
  • Vendor Management: Manage application-specific vendors to ensure service delivery aligns with organizational objectives and standards.
  • Disaster Recovery: Execute and test backup and disaster recovery protocols to ensure compliance with organizational recovery objectives.
  • Project Management: Drive applications-related projects, including automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Innovation: Lead application enhancements through AI and machine learning technologies to optimize operational processes.
  • Training Support: Conduct user training for application-specific solutions to promote adoption and effective usage.
  • AV Support: Provide technical support for audio and video systems, ensuring seamless operation for meetings, events, and other organizational activities.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors.

 

Institutional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in any institution-wide activities as assigned, e.g., be an active member of AMRO’s internal committees or task forces.
  • Lead and conduct training or seminars to share knowledge with AMRO staff or external stakeholders when requested.
  • Perform any other duties as may be reasonably required in furtherance of AMRO’s overall goals.

 

The candidate should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or other related fields from a reputable university.
  • At least 8 years of relevant ICT management experience in public or private sector organizations; prior experience in similar international organizations or government agencies would be an advantage.
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies, with strong expertise in project management, ERP, Workday, data analytics, and AI, ensuring their strategic application to address business needs effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment.
