We also reviewed the progress of and discussed further regional financial cooperation initiatives, including the Chiang Mai Initiative, efforts to strengthen regional policy dialogue, monitoring of capital flows, and early warning system.

The Joint Statement of the 1st ASEAN+3 Deputy Finance Ministers and Deputy Central Bank Governors’ Meeting (March 18, 1999, AFDCM +3 Ha Noi, Vietnam)
