Dr. Leilei Lu joined AMRO in October 2020. She is currently an Economist in the Financial Surveillance team. She was previously CMIM specialist in the CMIM Support Group, in charge of local currency contribution under the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralisation (CMIM) and issues related with global financial safety net.
Prior to joining AMRO, Dr. Lu worked at the People’s Bank of China. Her work covered surveillance of emerging market economies, development finance, international use of Renminbi, global financial safety net, etc. She also played an active role in promoting policy dialogues between central banks and facilitating international as well as regional financial cooperation.
Dr. Lu holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Fudan University, and a Master’s degree in Economics from Peking University.
